How it works

Every word, counted

Translators usually quote by the word. A strings file is full of things nobody translates, like keys and format placeholders, so counting the whole file overstates it. This counts only the words people will read.

What counts

The words people read

The app splits the text of each string at spaces and line breaks, and counts the pieces.

Counted

Every word in each string's text, numbers included.
